Thursday news quiz: interrupted dinners and shows, and a salamander | life and style

It is time for the Thursday news quiz – and this week marks our fifth birthday. Like the elephant in our illustration by Anaïs Mims, we have a long memory, and we are quietly delighted to still be here asking you questions after all this time. We are also grateful for all the comments and emails over the years – not least because this was pitched as an eight-week experiment. But enough nostalgia; how much can you remember from the past week’s news? Fifteen questions await, covering topical developments, pop culture and general knowledge. There are no prizes, but we always enjoy hearing how you got on in the comments. Allons-y!
